Anti-Wrinkle Consultation

Soften · Refresh · Never Overdone

Prescriber-Led — Individually Assessed — Excellence on Harley Street

22 Harley Street · CQC Registered · Save Face Accredited · Cosmetic Redress Scheme · The French Touch

A consultation about the lines that bother you — not a treatment sold from a list. We assess, we advise, and we tell you honestly when something is not right for you.

Our Approach

People rarely come to us asking to look different. They come because they look more tired, or more severe, than they feel — and they want that softened without anyone being able to say what has been done.

That outcome depends far more on judgement than on any product. How much, where, and whether at all are clinical decisions, made for your face, by a clinician who has examined it. Restraint is the whole point. This is what we mean by The French Touch : enhancement that looks like you, simply more rested.

Every consultation includes a full medical assessment. Some people leave with a plan. Some leave with a recommendation to do nothing at all, or to consider something else entirely. Both are good outcomes.

“The goal is never a face that cannot move. It is to soften what bothers a patient while keeping them expressive and recognisable. That balance is what separates a good result from an obviously treated one.” Dr Philippe Hamida-Pisal, PHP Aesthetic-Wellness

Concerns We Assess

Forehead lines that appear with raised eyebrows or surprised expressions
Frown lines between the brows — the vertical “11” lines
Crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes
Looking tired or severe in photographs when you do not feel it
An uneven or asymmetric appearance at rest or on expression
Uncertainty about whether anything should be done at all

Areas We Discuss

Forehead
The horizontal lines that appear when raising the eyebrows. Assessment considers brow position and how much movement you want to keep.
Frown Lines (Glabella)
The vertical lines between the brows that form when frowning or concentrating — often the area patients say makes them look severe or tired.
Crow’s Feet
The fine lines radiating from the outer corners of the eyes on smiling or squinting.

Other concerns of the jaw, neck and shoulders, and excessive sweating, are assessed separately. Each is a different clinical question with a different technique and goal, and each has its own consultation.

Your Consultation

📋

Assessment

A face-to-face medical consultation with a prescribing clinician. Medical history, examination at rest and on movement, and a discussion of what is realistic for your face.

⚖

Suitability

Suitability is decided individually. We will decline where something is not clinically appropriate, and we will say so plainly rather than offer an alternative to fill the appointment.

💬

Review

Where a plan is agreed, we review you afterwards. It is part of the standard of care here, not an upsell, and there is no charge for it.

Before you book. Some of the treatments we discuss involve prescription-only medicines. These can only be provided following a face-to-face medical assessment by our prescribing clinician, and are never supplied on request. A consultation may or may not lead to treatment. Suitability is assessed individually and treatment may be declined where it is not clinically appropriate. Individual results vary and no outcome can be guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I end up looking frozen?
That look comes from over-treatment, and it is the thing we design our practice to avoid. We dose conservatively and deliberately, and we would rather do too little and review you than do too much and ask you to wait it out.
What happens at the consultation?
We take a full medical history, examine your face at rest and in movement, and talk through what is actually bothering you. You will get an honest opinion about what would help, what would not, and what we would advise against.
Will I definitely be treated on the day?
No. A consultation may or may not lead to treatment. Nothing is supplied on request, and we will decline where it is not clinically appropriate — including when our honest view is that you do not need anything.
Is the appointment uncomfortable?
The consultation itself is a conversation and an examination. Where treatment follows, most patients describe the sensation as a series of small pinpricks with very fine needles, and the appointment usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes in total.
Can this be considered alongside other treatments?
Yes. Dermal fillers, skin boosters and polynucleotides are often part of the same conversation, and sequencing matters. Dr Philippe or Dr Jihyun Byun will advise on what is appropriate and in what order at your consultation.
Who regulates the clinic?
PHP Aesthetic-Wellness is registered with the Care Quality Commission, is a Save Face accredited practice, and is a member of the Cosmetic Redress Scheme.
