The Society of Mesotherapy of the United Kingdom
Advancing standards, education and best practice in mesotherapy.
Mesotherapy is one of the foundations of modern aesthetic and regenerative medicine. The Society of Mesotherapy of the United Kingdom exists to promote its safe, evidence-based and skilful practice.
About the Society
The Society of Mesotherapy of the United Kingdom (SoMUK) is dedicated to promoting standards, education and best practice in mesotherapy among medical professionals. Just as importantly, the Society works to inform patients — helping them understand mesotherapy and recognise properly trained, qualified practitioners, so they can make safe and confident choices about their care.
In doing so, SoMUK supports the continued education of practitioners, the sharing of best practice across the profession, and the advancement of mesotherapy as a recognised, well-regulated discipline within UK aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
Founder and Medical Director of PHP Aesthetic-Wellness on Harley Street, Dr Hamida-Pisal serves as President of SoMUK and co-director of the Society of Mesotherapy of South Africa (SoMZA). He is a recognised Key Opinion Leader and international speaker in aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
President of the Society of Mesotherapy of Korea (SoMKR) and part of the team at PHP Aesthetic-Wellness, Dr Byun brings the precision of Korean aesthetic medicine to the clinic’s work — a living expression of its French–Korean collaboration.
The two societies are directly connected: the Society of Mesotherapy of Korea was founded in 2025, in London and Seoul, under the Society of Mesotherapy of the United Kingdom. Both follow the principles of Dr Michel Pistor (1924–2003), the founder of the International Society of Mesotherapy — placing PHP Aesthetic-Wellness within a recognised international lineage of mesotherapy practice.

Why It Matters to Patients
Choosing a practitioner connected to a professional society offers reassurance: it signals a commitment to recognised standards, ongoing education and patient safety — rather than technique learned in isolation.
